A helpless dog named Violet was abandoned and left to fend for herself at a kill shelter. She was malnourished and fearful, and her health condition was critical. Unfortunately, Violet’s poor state would have resulted in her being put down without any hesitation.
Whitney, a dedicated volunteer at I Stand With My Pack organization, received an urgent call regarding a Shar-pei in distress and immediately sprang into action to provide assistance.
Upon being released from the shelter, Violet was promptly taken to the vet’s office. The volunteers were shocked to discover how underweight she was. Normally, a Shar-Pei should weigh around 40 to 60 pounds, but Violet was just half of that at only twenty pounds. Seeing the poor condition of the helpless animal saddened their hearts and they couldn’t fathom why anyone would treat a pet in such a cruel manner.
Violet was feeling uneasy, but Whitney tried to soothe her by giving her a comforting pat. Whitney was very aware of the alignment of Violet’s spine as she knelt down beside her. When Violet looked back at her, it was clear to Whitney that Violet had never experienced love before. This moment marked a significant change in Violet’s life, unfortunately leading to a negative outcome.
After relocating to her foster home with Whitney, Violet was able to experience the comforts of having a consistent meal plan and a nurturing parental figure. She also learned the joy of playing with toys and having her own bed. Whitney was overjoyed the first time she set foot on Violet’s bed.
Violet had put on some extra weight within a few weeks but it was not all bad news as she also gained some new knowledge. She learned how to play with her furry friends and discovered everything there is to know about happy doggie zoomies! This made her curious to explore new interests and everyone was delighted to see her transform into a cheerful and healthy pup. It’s almost like watching a fairy tale come to life!
